Show Up

Here’s a thought I’d like to share…

Yesterday, as I pulled out of my driveway to go to work, I saw this amazing burst of color! It was this leggy, group of sticks that I hadn’t really noticed before. But today, those sticks were bursting with booms! Azaleas… those amazing native plants with a tenacity rivaled by few and a beauty unparalleled by most. They just “show up.” There are no excuses about “I’m only a bunch of sticks.” No apologies for their unimpressive offseason appearance. They just bloom for all they’re worth and then let go until their season arrives again. How cool is that?

I was struck by the beauty and the audacity. I stopped to take this picture and set my intention for the day… to just SHOW UP AND BURN BRIGHTLY – and leave the rest to the Universe.

I wanted to share this with you so that you might also look to the beauty around you and be empowered to simply SHOW UP – without apology!  …Let the rest work itself out as it will.
