Yoga & Mindfulness Studies

Our 200-hour, 300-hour, and Advanced  Studies are not as much yoga teacher trainings so much as they are LIVING YOUR YOGA trainings.

​

In all three programs, you’ll learn how to take yogic philosophy and apply it to off-the-mat, beyond-the-studio, real-world life. Operating under the mantra of, "In yoga as in life," you’ll discover how your body practice relates to the way you show up for yourself and others.

​

That means:

Be prepared for devoted study, self-reflection and dynamic group work. 

​

You’re going to have to take an honest look at the habits and patterns in your life.  Cultivating new behaviors that lead to sustainable, positive change in your life isn’t easy. But with support from a tribe of people who are in this thing with you, it will happen for you.

​

You’re going to have to dig deep.  Dismantling the egoic barriers that get in your way will be challenging. But, the freedom waiting for you at the other end will usher in a level of ease you never thought possible.

​

It’s going to be heart expanding.  Connecting with yourself through the rawest, realest experiences — body, mind and spirit — will open your heart. To yourself, your family, your friends… your co-workers? (Yes, your co-workers, too.) You’ll find yourself dropping defenses and authentically accepting yourself and others where they are.

​

It’s going to be life changing.  Taking the conscious path will ring an awareness bell that can never be unrung. You’ll create a new way for you to exist in this world.

​

Not to worry — while studying with Center for Living Mindfully you’ll strengthen your technical proficiency and learn anatomy, effective yoga sequences, modifications and alignment cues. When you graduate, you’ll be well prepared to teach yoga if that’s your intention.

What We Offer

YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS

The Center for Living Mindfully’s School of Yoga offers both 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings. Both trainings meet the criteria to become a Certified Living Mindfully Yoga Teacher.

ADVANCED STUDIES

Our Advanced Studies programs are a deep dive into exploring how to embody the principles of yoga and mindfulness so that we can live with more freedom, authenticity and kindness.

Each year, the theme around which Advanced Studies is centered changes so that the program grows along with the student as well as offers accessible entry points for new students at the beginning of each new program.

150 S Church St, Fairhope, Alabama

SCHEDULE

The schedule will vary based on the program, but it's typically one weekend per month for eight months, including Friday evenings, Saturday morning & afternoon sessions, and Sunday mornings.

Yoga Teacher Training & Advanced Studies

Yoga is a practice of allowing, not achieving. You will learn to love what is, stay balanced in the midst of it all, listen to your own inner voice and be the warrior of your heart.

The unfolding will happen. Yoga is the practice that makes sure you are awake for it.

What You Can Expect

Deeper Practice & Spirituality

Imagine living a life where unconditional love and compassion divined your next steps. Wouldn’t you feel freer, lighter? Through the program’s mindfulness studies, you’ll gain liberation from the boundaries, conditions and attachments that keep you stuck. You’ll learn how to live your yoga beyond the mat. And, it will feel so good.

Renewed Confidence

What if you no longer turned outward for others’ approval? What if you started to feel different… feel fearless… feel strong. You’ll discover that ability, power and confidence have been with you all along. You only need a gentle reminder. Yoga teacher training, and fellow students, are here to whisper in your ear, “You’ve. Got. This.”

Life-Affirming Connection

Relationships change when you observe your actions and attitudes with fresh eyes. Connections form when you feel into the illusion of separation and the suffering it causes with heightened awareness. You’ll graduate with tools to heal and forge, strengthen and clarify the bonds you’ve formed in your life.

Emotional Stability

Meet your anxiety with breath work. Embrace negative thoughts with self-compassion. Alleviate stress through a meditation practice that calms your nervous system and creates new neural pathways. Yoga gives you a scientifically proven way to restore personal balance.

Greater Strength & Flexibility

Yoga will help you see your body differently. As you progress, you’ll be amazed by what your body can do and energized by your progress. Don’t be surprised if you find your intention shifting from wanting to improve your body (e.g., lose weight) to loving your newfound strength and range of motion.
