Spirit of Freedom: A Retreat for the Body, Mind, and Soul

21-28 March 2026

Blue Osa - Costa Rica

In yogic philosophy, the goal of practice is not to get better at doing yoga, but to become free. And this freedom comes from being able to meet the present moment with both mindfulness and heartfulness; to meet it as a friend. If we can become clear and present and meet our moments with friendliness, our relationship to life becomes rich, rewarding and fulfilling.

While spending a glorious week immersed in the magical beauty of Blue Osa with a group of like-minded people, we will share morning qigong practices, daily talks by the teachers - which will include instruction, self-exploration and reflection - meditation times, and yoga practices - both gentle flow classes, as well as restorative classes.

Each day will also contain free time to wander the long, private beaches, time to talk with new and old friends, swim, play with the Blue Osa dogs, relax, rest and renew!

The pace of the retreat will be in harmony with slowing down, finding balance, awakening joy, and restoring your soul.

An opportunity to truly drop in, reconnect with yourself, connect with others, and recharge your energy so that you can do, in this world, whatever is most important to you--that’s what this retreat - Spirit of Freedom at Blue Osa - offers.

I went to two retreats with Augusta and David, returning with clarity, deep understanding and a feeling of purpose.

I felt accepted without any judgement and supported throughout the retreat from the start to end. The ease of connection, openness and compassion was incredible!

I made many friends at these retreats that I’m still in touch with. I am truly grateful for their guidance for such enriching experiences!

I've attended mindfulness and meditation retreats with the Kantras and can attest to the deeply renewing experience that it is. The peaceful atmosphere and guided lessons and practices create lasting effects that extend well beyond the retreat, which enhance clarity and balance in daily life. Sharing the journey with fellow attendees fosters genuine connections and a sense of community that enriches the entire experience.

My retreat with Augusta and David gave me new insights, new tools and new friendships that I think about and enjoy every day.  The afternoon hiking excursions gave me a priceless opportunity to let the learning of the morning sessions sink in and grow in my mind and heart.  My husband and I are now looking forward to our next experience with them!
